Poetry Day Celebrations: Poetry can affect all generations, and make people consider anything from love to loss, indeed poetry does what little else can – it inspires. The poet speaks to the reader intimately and exclusively giving an insight into the inner workings of their minds, their ideas, their loves and hates. As part of raising awareness about poetry, at Silver Oaks College, pupils of Grade XI and XII participated in Urdu debate contest for the topic ‘’Zawaal Banadai Momin ka Bezari se Nhe’’. Pupils made their arguments citing poetry of Allama Iqbal, Baba Bulleh Shah and other regional poets, whose work depicted the purity of beliefs along with the message of natural growth and prosperity of our contemporary society. Mohammad Umair was adjudged as the Best Speaker followed by Nouman Sarfraz as 1st runners up and Raheel Aziz Kiyani as 2nd runners up.
