Pakistan is gearing up to celebrate 70 years of its inception this year. National unity and integration finds its expression through the feeling of oneness, common identity nationalism, patriotism and sense of loyalty towards the nation. In the midst of severely testing times for Pakistan, facing multiple challenges such as extremism, insecurity, lack of basic facilities for human dignity, it is pertinent that common identity nationalism be promoted amongst our youth. To that end, Community Development Council, Higher Education Commission & Youth Parliamentarians Forum joined hands to run a nationwide themed contest, in multi-age group categories from 6 to 22 years - Painting & Posters; Poetry & Essay Writing; and Photography.
321 Oakian pupils participated in support of this patriotic cause. We are proud to announce that Oakians, nationally, won two 1st Position Awards - Aliya Hassaan, of Grade 2, won the top prize in Painting and Aabiha Siraj, of Grade 7, was winner of the Poster Competition. Congratulations Alia & Aabiha for shining across a highly competitive national field of your peers from various institutions across the country – well done & keep it up. PAKISTAN PAAINDABAAD!
