19 December, 2018 · Human Rights Theme Activity @ Silver Oaks
Human Rights’ Day is observed every year on December 10, since UN declaration in 1948. UN Declaration of Human Rights, a milestone document - that proclaimed the inalienable rights which everyone is inherently entitled to, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, language, political or other opinions, national or social origin, property, birth or other status - is the most translated document in the world, available in more than 500 languages. In order to be aware of and recognize this Global Citizenship theme, Oakians celebrated this day through a range of activities – assembly public speaking; skits & songs; themed art work; creative writing; and story presentation. Within this context, pupils of International Campuses were provided reference context to develop and deliver English Speeches on the theme. Pupils of Pre-School celebrated purple color day.
