Identity Day Celebrated

22 March, 2017

22 March, 2017 · Identity Day

March 23 is actually the day when the meaning of independence for the Muslims of the Subcontinent was clearly laid out to the world. Now after 70 years of the event, we, the young generation, today need our elders' help in comprehending the 'national' thought that led to the whole process of independence! Children can only be expected to be 'patriotic' when they understand the meaning of 'patriotism'.

Pakistan Day was celebrated in high spirits on 22 March 2017 across all campuses of Silver Oaks Schools and College where students were informed about the importance of Pakistan Resolution and its association with Minar-e-Pakistan, Lahore. The day was celebrated with various in-house activities like dressing up in green and white/traditional outfits, singing national songs, face painting, quizzes, making badges, performing tableaus, special morning presentations by junior students, national songs competition, paying tribute to the national heroes and delivering speeches on the significance of the day.
